They Settle Us

In Uncategorized on August 14, 2017 at 9:18 pm

Control sticks to carriers
And luggages through human terminals.
Those carriers are just removed from each of us, not inhuman
But distinctively between rather than a part of us.
They are not predictable, and since control rides on their coat tails…
They prevent anyone from owning their lives to the core.
We can only inhabit the skin and flesh as an inchworm might feed,
Eating its globular world of fruit.

We’re stuck like apples, waiting to rot
So our seeds can fall where they may.
May they take root, yet may they not
Take control from them, the
Gusts that occasionally sprinkle straight gravity sideways,
Nudging Newton’s down slightly off,
Settling appleseeds on fresh land to make home.

The Undertures of Affection

In Poetry, Uncategorized on November 24, 2016 at 8:36 pm

We were strangers before we weren’t.
Weren’t you strangely familiar,
Weren’t you so closely removed
From everything I had ever experienced,
From everything I’d had with history

I have you with me currently.
You have me with you, yet
We haven’t totally dissolved the strangeness of it.

We’re a string of exposures
Taken from unexposed piles
To dry on a clothesline in a room
Lit by nothing but desperately needing sunlight
To dry our soakingly overt undertures
At each other by way of avoidance.

We fell upon filler to hole up awkwardly
Together. We are awkward, but
We so desperately need each other.

You make me so desperately happy.
In the exposures I hope that shows.
Through the negatives, through fear,
Through the moments that skip,
I”ll hold onto your picture.

A line in the Sand

In Poetry, Uncategorized on November 24, 2016 at 8:29 pm

At least I know that I’m dumb.
It’s a line in the sand,
Some see it and some don’t .
There are no smart people,
There are no ignorance-void gods.

Among us, uncertainty dumbs us all
Along fallible passages.
Our cobblestoned  aspirations and beliefs,
They walk us drunk towards passing out
On the hope that all ends well…. despite

Our sober mind’s hard fear of the imaginable terminations of each our own dreamed-up know-it-all kingdom.

Crumbled Earnings

In Poetry, Uncategorized on November 14, 2016 at 8:27 pm

I desire a headache
Just to to acknowledge the robbed-throbbing
One-splitted goings for each general
Makings of a thing not just like I lied them….

I desire a slapping stingfuls’
Assessment of my aspirations gone regular
Rank my runnings for “Most Deserved
Shitting-Good Burn”. Insolvencies

Spill me out of my trough.
-I desire my acute voice-over to think
Of the non-nuisance it is. Mundane business
Behaves me to root inside these

Crumbled earnings.

I Believe in Lullabies

In Uncategorized on January 9, 2015 at 12:04 pm

Hanging there between floating away and gravity,

Orbiting my own weight as an observer circulating around a scene,

So flirting with an empty vessel yet so comforted by the revolutions around my earth,

I follow myself at distances and like lulling a baby to sleep I am

Constantly forgetting to wail at the vastness of space and suck on the fears abreast my everyday focus, and then just

For the unpressured quiet of of it all between trying to give up and giving in to that ever-returning itch to care more than any creator about a world that I did not create and that I do not even own.

There are always weeds growing through the cracks

Because this sidewalk lacks traffic.

Along it, no houses nor stores nor buildings

Sit in ruin or reign, or in any other disquiet state.

Footprints scatter upon its happenstance

Against pedestrianism. What happens there

Happens to happen because the weeds are there,

Paving over the tending task of pulling them.

An overeaten white hmm shy
Of ripe, full of puss, hairless.
The nasality echoes lodgers,
Mucus-hardened. Shopping
For apple pie. Fair warning:
“Best before hygiene enters
The conversation”. Trophies
For the mess hall, calculator
Boobs for the teenager. Bar
None, less is more or less
More than least of all: taste.

A Drop of Heft

In Uncategorized on May 23, 2014 at 2:52 pm

Panting at a lethargic pace ,
An underwater molasses bubble
Struggles against the depth’s
Pressures as a luminescent
Creature trickles by, lightly
Tickling the bubble’s skin-barrier
With a stray arm’s feelers.
The bubble shudders, ripples,
Then stabilizes and sinks
Its heaviness even deeper.

Intention Tensions

In Uncategorized on March 25, 2014 at 10:21 pm

To fill a singly human stretch of frameworks,
Each ending openly upon incompleteness,
Into one frame of feeling… irked alive,

Shuddered inspiration.

To not be social functions of solitude:

Our graphs all tire vertically,
Limper as they rise,
But they rise. Together,
We visit catching instants of butchery…

The detachment following butchery:
The static depth of things not being different.

Later, turn off the lights. Lie in the dark,
Marinade in that frustration-accumulation
(Desperately waiting to “sleep on it”)…

Jerk off.

Increments need scales to crawl along;
They are linear creatures:
Pay scales,
Weigh scales,
Piano scales,
Pain scales
-Increments have such dry-inching variety!

They are creeping creatures:
Pay cuts,
Weight gain,
Minor accidentals,
Escalating pain
-Increments have such subtle-pinching mandibles!

Increments build
In tiny scuttlers,
One upon the other,
Into tunnels or towers
Of buggered ticking
Antennas feeling out
Every milliseconds’ crawl
Along its linear lines.
