Old Friends

In Poetry on April 2, 2012 at 5:40 pm

Farther than the impatient thrift

That postures in fast places

There are still corners of this world

That harbor care-free faces

Where time is drawn without a line

That beggars now for ends in mind

Where the world turns round again

And progress moves towards old friends.
