The Shot Parade

In Poetry on April 1, 2012 at 2:00 am

The shot parade flashes
On the wild sputter wings
Of aimlessness, salute
To the gods of wandering
Vectors, eating up bullets
Like pop-rock candy exploding
In the mouths of their clouds,
For even the gods pace before
A fundamental thirst for sugar,
A salivation for sweet adulation
That can only be licked off
The human prostration of
Reason to idols and signs
In the sky and the wild
Shot parade of salute.
